The First International Student Poster Competition “Tolerance – A Global Challenge” is a great opportunity for the Graphic Designers and artists not only to express their ideas and beliefs, but also to promote their poster to the public, something that gives life to the artistic creations and gives the artist an opportunity to achieve the dream of a creation being exposed and remembered by the public.
Official opening ceremony of the First International Student Poster Competition, Skopje 2008 is planed to take a part in the Museum of City of Skopje in June 21th, 2008.
At the beginning of November 2007, we will start with the preparation and printing of the promotional materials which will include information of the possibility to take a part in this competition. In the middle of January those promotional material will be posted to numerous European academies of Art, design and visual communication schools, same as to all centers for graphic design. In the same time we’ll promote the competition on several international internet portals that treat the graphic design and the posters as an artistic media. This will officially mark the beginning of the First International Student poster competition. The deadline for submission of the posters will be no later than 15th of May, 2008.
The main street "Makedonija" - the most frequent street in Skopje where 10 best posters will be exhibited
For a better communication with the public and stronger effect from the messages, ten most successful posters from the exhibition will be displayed in front of the public at the most recurring street in Skopje, “Makedonija” on the first upcoming weekend after the opening. We would like to mention that permissions from the City Council of Skopje and municipality of Centre will be provided for this activity. If weather conditions require a change in the original plan, then the posters will be presented in the adequate moment during a sunny day. In all cases the presentation will be done on Saturday, a day when the frequency of people in this area is at its highest.
