Skopje Creative Hub Conference

‘Plakart’ Association Of Designers in collaboration with the British Council in Macedonia and with support of Ministry of Culture of Republic of Macedonia were organizers of the Creative Hub Conference – model that aims at stimulating creative ideas and designing creative hubs, as influencing the development of creative industries.

The Conference was divided in 3 sessions of presentations including Borche Nikolovski from the Ministry of Culture Euro-Integration Department, Lynsey Smith – representative of British Council, and also leaders of creative hub projects Creative Dundee from United Kingdom – Gillian Easson, One Architecture Week from Sofia – Ljubo Georgiev, RogLab from Ljubljana – Meta Štular and Nova Iskra from Belgrade – Relja Bobić.

Following the Conference the workshop „Designing Creative Hubs” facilitated by Lynsey Smith and Gillian Easson took place. Focus topics of the workshop were as follows: creative hub models with focus on building creative communities, designing the vision for Skopje’s creative sector to thrive in the year 2025, establishing the creative hub, defining and implementing its goals.
