We are looking a head at the 7th edition of the Skopje Festival poster, previously known as the International Student Poster Competition, has grown into a distinctive, original festival with major focus on poster design and visual arts communication and creative industries. Association of graphic designers Plakart, supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia and the Youth Cultural Center, is sure that this time will satisfy the needs of the creative profession.
Skopje poster festival remains dedicated to its previous editions and re-announces a rich program led by top names in the world of graphic design. We proudly announce that this year we host Iva Babaja – President of Icograda, International Council of Design, and Davor Bruketa – one of the most successful designers in Southeastern Europe, with more than 400 awards in recognition of his ingenious creative projects. Also Borut Wild, one of the most inspiring designers from Serbia, wth more than 100 international projects, has initiated numerous successful regional design events.
From 04.12.2014 to 12.20.2014 under the motto “Design for Peace“ will have the opportunity to look at the poster finalists made by students – young artist and conceptual graphic designers, with their exceptional way to use the topic in creative and visually strong manner. The above members of the jury, will have the difficult task to select among the finalist the winning posters, and the audience in Skopje will have the opportunity to hear and learn more about the “State of the Design in the Balkans and its integration in educational processes“ as part of the First Regional Design Conference held so far in Macedonia.
