On 16th of December Cinematique of Macedonia will be hosting the Skopje Creative Hub Conference in organization of Plakart – Association of Designers of Republic of Macedonia.
The goal of the Conference is to stimulate creative ideas and designing of the creative hubs, as well as to influence on the development of the creative industries.
“The Conference will focus on the questions that are concerning artists and designers from Macedonia – like the issue of intellectual property protection and efficient investing in increasing of its value, role of the cultural and creative sector in progress of the Macedonian economy and society, creative education as important part of the career development, as well as adaptation to the 21st century digitalization” – said Laze Tripkov from Plakart – organizer of the Conference.
The Conference will be 3 session-event in which several officials from Ministry of Culture of Republic of Macedonia, representatives of British Council Lynsey Smith, and also leaders of the projects Creative Dundee from United Kingdom, Gillian Easson, One Architecture Week from Sofia, Ljubo Georgiev, RogLab from Ljubljana, Meta Štular and Nova Iskra from Belgrade, Relja Bobić. Following the Conference several workshops will be held regarding different types of Creative Hubs with focus on building creative communities, designing the vision for Skopje’s creative sector to thrive in the year 2025 and creating a detailed plan to establish the creative hub and its implementation.
Partners of Plakart are Ministry of Culture of Republic of Macedonia, British Council in Macedonia and Cinematique of Macedonia.

15:30 – 15:45 | Quick intro to different types of Creative Hubs with focus on building creative communities and finding your tribes.
15:45 – 16:00| Activity: Design the vision for Skopje’s creative sector to thrive in the year 2025. What infrastructure is needed? What role do creative hubs play in this? What evidence would be visible that it was a success?
16:10 – 16: 40 | Activity: Blueprinting the vision – developing all the steps and activities needed to achieve the vision. Creating a detailed plan to establish the creative hub.
16: 40 – 17:00 | Feedback: Each group plans its presentation to the group and has 3 mins to present their idea. With time for Q&A at the end of each presentation.
17:00 – 17:10 | Wrap up and conclusion.
