Association of Graphic Designers Plakart is part of the project “ArtLink” initiated by the Museum of City of Skopje.
This ambitious project objective is to trigger the creative potential of the young creative people from Republic of Macedonia.
In this project 9 faculties will take part – Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Cyril and Methodius, Faculty of Arts at the Tetovo University, Academy of Fine Art at the University Goce Delchev in Shtip, Faculty of Graphic Design at the University of Kliment Ohridski in Bitola, Faculty of Architecture and Design at the University American College in Skopje, Faculty of Art and Design at the European University, Faculty of Multimedia and Design at FON University, Faculty of Architecture at University Cyril and Methodius and Faculty of Architecture at MIT University.
“In the past 10 years Plakart has initiated and supported varieties of projects with purpose of qualitative development of the creative industries, and ArtLink is step-further in this direction.
Our experience distinctively shows that there is a need of continuant work in the field of visual and contemporary arts and in order this to be achieved all eligible parties must work jointly – educational institutions, museums, art influence groups like Plakart and all that can directly or indirectly influence this processes. We congratulate to all participant for their will and to Museum of City of Skopje as our partner.
We are hoping that this is a start of successful and long-lasting collaboration that will deliver great content and projects to the public.” – said representative of Plakart at today’s press-conference.
Plakart and Museum of City of Skopje, besides the collaboration within the ArtLink project, are planning a series of art venues. Firstly, and most importantly, Plakart is bringing back Skopje Poster Festival to this Museum after 6-year “break” – first 3 SPF festivals took place at this marvelous gallery space in the heart of the capitol of Republic of Macedonia.
Additionally, Plakart and Museum of City of Skopje with support of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Skopje will launch the competition of promotional poster for Republic of Macedonia. Another event that is planed for the next week is the Polish Poster School exhibition including masterpieces from Henryk Tomaszewski, Świerzy, Majewski, Starowieyski, Młodożeniec.
