Summer is approaching but we do not stop here when it comes to further development of the collaboration with regional design platforms.
After 7. SUND Festival in Belgrade, Serbia, Plakart and Skopjeposter will take part in One Design Week (Bulgaria) one of the best design venues on the Balkans which will be great opportunity promotion of Balkan’s design.
One Design Week will be officially opened in Plovdiv on 10th of June and one of the exhibition program activities will be exhibition of posters from 8. Skopje Poster Festival on issue “Enabled For Disabled”. This venue will take place at the House of Culture Boris Hristov.
Representatives from Plakart will as well present on the following topic: “International Student Poster Competition as a Promoter of Social Poster and Its Influence on the awareness of social and global issues”. This presentation has goal to bring closer the ISPC to the Bulgarian audience and will take place on 12 of June from 15h to 16h at the House of Culture Boris Hristov.
Focal point of this year One Design Week will be the Forum at which recognised designers will take part – Eisuke Tachikawa, Adam von Haffner, Alice Rawsthorn, Peter Marigold, Stephen Serrato. Additional program activities include exhibitions, workshops, parties, projections, debates, kids program. Full program is available at: One Design Week
One Design Week is part of the EDNO platform along with 2 others happenings – One Architecture Week and One Dance Week. All three festivals are under the patronage of Municipality of Plovdiv and has had moved there from The City of Sofia. In the past years One Design Week has been hosting such design names as Matali Crasset, Michael Marriott, Erik Kessels, Stefan Sagmeister, David Carlson.
